We are not in the business of selling information to third parties. We understand that you may have privacy concerns about the personal information that you provide to us. As a general rule, we will use and store this information to help enhance your shopping experience, to better serve you on our site and to personalize and improve your use of our website and any communication resulting therefrom.
What information do we collect?
We collect information from you when you register on our site, place an order, subscribe to our newsletter, respond to a survey, fill out a form or use any current or eventual feature of our website that requests information from users of our site.
When ordering or registering on our site, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your name, e-mail address, mailing address and/or phone number. You may, however, also choose to visit our site anonymously.
What do we use your information for?
Any of the information we collect from you may be used in several ways, namely:
To improve customer service and website effectiveness: Your information helps us to more effectively respond to your customer service requests and support needs and allow us to perform internal business activities, research and analysis, to better serve you.
To process transactions: Your privately-submitted information will not be intentionally sold, exchanged, transferred, or given to any other company for any reason whatsoever, without your consent, other than for the express purpose of delivering the purchased product or service requested by yourself.
To provide us with customer data: This will enable us to offer a contest, promotion, survey or other site feature that may be offered to users in the future. This will also help us in devising coupon and loyalty program promotions.
To send periodic emails: The email address you provide may be used to send you information (such as product updates, newsletters, etc.), respond to inquiries, and/or other requests or questions. Please note that you will have the option to unsubscribe to any such email messages if you so wish.
How do we protect your information?
We implement a variety of security features that are intended to help in the safeguarding of your personal information when you place an order or enter, submit, or access your personal information. Since we do not control the means and sources from which data is transferred to our systems by users, our representations are limited to only those safeguards that are under our direct control.
We offer the use of what is commonly designated as a “secure server”. All supplied sensitive/credit information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into our Payment gateway providers database, which is designed to be only accessible by those authorized with special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential.
After a transaction, your private information (credit cards, etc.) will not be stored on our servers.
Notwithstanding any safety features implemented, security of information on the internet (including data transmission or data stored on a server) cannot be guaranteed. As a result, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you disclose or transmit to us online and the Corporation is not responsible for any theft, destruction or inadvertent disclosure of any of your information. You agree that by divulging or making available any information online, you are acting at your sole risk and peril.
Does our site have encryption?
Cookies are generally known as small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computer’s hard drive through your Web browser, typically with your permission and which enables the sites or service providers’ systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information.
We use encryption to help us understand and save your preferences for future visits and compile aggregate data about site traffic and site interaction so that we can offer better site experiences and tools in the future. By way of example, encryption will help remember and process selected items for purchase every time you use our shopping cart feature. Please refer to our Terms and Conditions section for additional information regarding cookies and encryption as regards this site.
You may choose to block or delete cookies and other encryption features by adjusting your browser's security and privacy settings, however, should you choose to do this, you may not be able to access or use some or all of our site's features.
How do we share your information?
We may share your information with third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business or further to an asset sale, reorganization or other like transactions (where personal and non-personal information may be included in the assets being transferred), or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or any third parties’ rights, property or safety. However, non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses, namely to identify sales tendencies and traffic patterns.
Furthermore, the nature of our business requires us to use outside shipping companies to process orders (ex: FedEx, UPS, Canada Post, DHL, USPS). In order to complete sales of our products, we use a credit card processing company to invoice users who purchase our products. We may also accept payment via PayPal and/or other payment methods operated by third-party companies. All of these companies may receive personally identifiable information in order to execute your order.
